Surf Story

Surf Story If tequila is playing mariachis in the back of your head on a winter's night, do not wait to test out of the barrel along the Pacific coast. You will not be left behind ...
A country of feast and surf that breaks like beer in the evening at the taverns bar. Forget about George Bush's children, who are often in the water, surf with pleasure and open the door of your first trip to Latin America.

Mexico, from Baja California to Puerto Escondido, passing through Puerto Vallarta, is the beginning of the huge surf territory of Terra Latina ...
A bit of history ... 200 BC J. - C. - The first Mexican civilization, those of the Olmecs, flourishes near the coasts of the gulf. The classic Mayan civilization, recognized as one of the most brilliant of pre-Columbian civilizations, is taking off in the South and Center of the country. Later, the Toltecs succeed the Maya and the civilization of Teotihuacán.
1524 - The Spaniards are masters of Mexico, that they undertake to "civilize" and "evangelize".
1821 - The highest representative of Spain in Mexico, Viceroy Agustín de Iturbide, declares independence.
25 years later, the United States, eager to delight the current Texas in Mexico, respond to the resistance of Santa Anna taking Mexico.
1917 - The promulgation of a constitution fails to stop the civil war. It makes between 1.5 and 2 million deaths and ends with the assassinations of Carranza and Zapata.
1968 - The Olympic Games take place in Mexico ... 2003 - The North American Free Trade Agreement between Mexico, Canada and the United States comes into effect.
A bit of Geo ... Crossed by the Tropic of Cancer, Mexico stretches nearly 2 million km2. In the form of a grave accent, the country has more than 3,000 km of common border with the United States in the North, while Guatemala and Belize border it to the South.

Mexico, however, is primarily bounded by the Caribbean Sea to the east (Gulf of Mexico) and the Pacific Ocean to the west. In the north of the country, coastal plains separate two north-facing mountain ranges. -South, Eastern Sierra Madre and Western Sierra Madre. They surround a vast plateau of altitude, the central Altiplano, which oscillates between 1000 and 2000 m of altitude.

South of Mexico City, the Sierra Madre del Sur (Cordillera neovolcánica) runs along the south-west coast of the country and includes active volcanoes and higher peaks: Pico de Orizaba (5,611 m) and Popocatépetl (5 452 m).

The narrowest region of Mexico, in the South, is composed of lowlands and highlands. The Sierra Madre de Chiapas closes it along the Pacific coast. The Yucatán Peninsula dates back to the Gulf of Mexico on the Atlantic side.
